Return to the Construction Projects list.

The834The 834 is developer David Chard’s third project in downtown Victoria. Following in the footsteps of the Corazon and Juliet condominium towers, the 14-storey The 834 features ground floor retail space and townhomes facing onto Johnson Street.  The tower also includes a green roof and a living green wall designed to decrease the building’s environmental footprint.

I bet condo sales would increase if the renderings in the sales brochure had awesome lightning. Who wouldn't want to live in a building that looked like a Metallica album cover?

It's all good until you realize you're leaning against the lightning rod standing on the roof :p

The last penthouse/unit I had listed is now sold. Congrats to Chard Development on a very successful project.

Nicely done.

What % of The 834 would you say is rental/owner occupied?

35% of the building is rented and 65% is owner occupier. Most of the rented units are the smaller one bedrooms.
