The Wing | 6-storeys | Residential
Return to the Construction Projects list.
Originally planned as a six-storey condominium residence, The Wing’s construction stalled after a lack of sales dried up project financing. The Wing is now slated to become an affordable rental residence.
The building has sat empty for several years awaiting a buyer. In 2009 the City of Victoria and the Province provided $9.5-million towards the purchase and completion of the building and conversion into affordable rental housing.

(I realize Astoria is a condo building but I'm just interested in what people might be renting their units for.)

1br at The Falls are going for up to $1900.

I was driving over the Bay St. bridge the other night and I could have sworn I saw lights on at the Wing but since I have heard nothing about the project in ages I quickly realized I must have been looking at a different building since there are so many around there now. I got closer and had my mind blown since I had no idea it was even being worked on. I obviously spend way too much time playing with my kids and not enough time visiting this site. ;)

$1750 a month and it'ssubsidized by the taxpayers??!?!? My girlfriend pays half that for a building that isn't subsidized at Bay and Quadra. Granted it's not a great 'hood, but her building is perfectly nice.
Hey, even the rich are struggling these days:rolleyes:
