^ ya, advance seat selection has now been cancelled at the Odeon.

A very poor decision.

The movie is called The Christmas Calendar directed by Allen Harmon.

Small Budget.

I was given exclusive access inside the set for some pics was not able to use flash so handheld without thats why out of focus so this is what you get.

A french Bakery and the Mosaic across the street was done up as a background for the scenes shot inside (Hillarys.)

The career fair held on Saturday, to prepare for a busy Victoria film year in 2017, attracted 2,000 people, four times as many as the industry had expected.

I'll be hosting my 4th annual Oscar party at Yates Taphouse next month.

This year we have passes from IMAX and Odeon if you pick the winners, plus we've got 125 mini movie posters for free. Your choice of La La Land, Manchester By The Sea, Hacksaw Ridge, or Hell Or High Water.

I was there, yes it was packed. It was held at the Pacific Fleet Club at CFB Esquimalt but easily could have been held at the conference centre.

Tables were set up with all relevant jobs (makeup, electrical, set decoration, art department, scouting etc) and local people gave info on the various jobs and ways to get into the business.

In fact, Shannon was asked if she had a standard security guard license ($400 weekend course) because they needed people that night on that Fort Street Christmas movie. We happened to be down there and sure enough there were three people standing outside the Mosaic guarding a display of green peppers and eggplants for $21 an hour.

More movie filming or is something else going on in Chinatown?

I do see cameras in the crowd.

Fact and fiction can blur sometimes.

Can't argue with that; just look at the fine folks down at Victoria City Hall.

Went to the Odeon last night.  No seat selection.

Anyway, saw Hidden Figures.

Good film, but I'd say this is one you do not need to see in theatres.  And I say that rarely.

Those lasy boy seats are a waste of money. You can go and see the same film a few weeks later for half the price at University Heights, and seat selection is free at that location

There was never any additional charge to reserve your seat at the Odeon.

Seat selection is back!

I saw the Lego Batman movie the other day.  Highly recommended!

Just a reminder, I host another Oscar Night this Sunday at Yates Taphouse, if you want to swing by.
