In that shot of CIBC the hills and mountain look maybe 1km away! How's everything so perfectly in focus? What sort of magic camera are you using?

I think the magic there is called "depth of field". Sunny day, lots of depth of field.

The white 3 story W shaped apartment on the right corner is where my friends live, I spend a lot of time there. In fact, I just got back from there. Cool pic!

Infact....even if the Hudson gets built at 25 stories...you probably won't even see it becuase the Manhatten will block it out.

In that picture the Wave looks really stupid. It is really out of place and it should have been taller. And the mosaic, at first I liked it then saw that they missed a whole space, looks stupid.

Remember that silly comment from the Juliet debate about how it would block views of St. Andrew's from Blanshard Street? Fact is, the worst culprit for blocking views of St. Andrew's from Blanshard Street is that 3-story office building across Blanshard from the Ministry of Health.

The street straightens out after that so that nothing on the Juliet site could ever block views of the cathedral.

Lesson: you don't preserve views by building short, you preserve views by creating vertical view corridors.

Wow, look at that sloppy mud. It's like a WWI battlefield. The last month must have been pretty miserable to be a construction worker (except for that paycheque).

The Soho looks great--what a change for that little street. Although I don't know if I like the fake bricked-in window look. When the Palladian is finished in the year 2034 it will be such a cool little neighbourhood, especially when the south side of the street is fixed up.

Thanks for the pics.

I think that wall on the soho is better than just plain brick or nothing at all perhaps some sort of climbing plant?

That back side of the building is not supposed to be seen from the street, it only can be seen because of the vacent lot on North Park which is used as a parking lot.
