And just around the corner from the marina, as discussed earlier in the thread ... Point Hope Shipyard will hopefully get their wish to expand into a much larger, and fully equipped shipyard capable of handling many more vessels than they do now.

http://www.timescolo...dock-1.20321746

As Victoria's is a working harbour, this request for expansion is a brilliant idea, one that will give the harbour extended and active life for the next 100 years.

Although I have nothing at all to do with Point Hope, I do know many folks who have the best interests of Victoria's harbour at heart, and know this expansion of Point Hope is supported 100% by those whose concern is the long term health and well being of the harbour and all the businesses that surround it.

I would check the website

vimarina.ca

they had a countdown before, was supposed to be open July 1, 2017.  now they have removed the countdown and says opening in 2017.

they had some bad wind weeks there in April and May, most likely delayed everything

I walked by the site a couple of days ago on the Songhees. There's been a lot done but it doesn't look ready to open yet.

Don't be so sure.

My neighbor as it happens is the PM for the project; according to her (this was a driveway conversation from about 2-3 weeks ago) the marina will be ready for business "many, many months" after the initial projections and in terms of being finished - including the two foreshore buildings etc., - it was sounding very much like she wasn't anticipating *that* happening until spring 2018 at the earliest.

Pam's views of the Olympic Mountains now under direct threat. First it was the Sooke Hills....now it's the Olympic range. Oh the humanity....!

Fuzzy photo.

Poked at it in Chrome's inspector. There's a style rule that forces the image to be the same width as the container. So the image is getting stretched out, resulting in the poor appearance.

We keep complaining about that to Mike and he keeps blaming the forum software. It causes rampaging oversized paperclips.

If you use the "Attach Photos & More Reply Options" at bottom right,  followed by the "Attach Files" at bottom left by the infamous paper clip, everything should go smoothly, even long after we are dead.

I used to have  :badpc:  but now I use Mike's software. Try it you'll like it and you can take that to the bank. All we need to do now is send a few forumers and an ex-moderator off to photography school.

From a web developer's perspective it's just a style override away. Though I've no idea of the complexity of the forum style setup.

Yeah, there's something weird going on due to the right hand bar. It should be a simple fix but its dogged us for years.

New system coming by 2019, I promise. I got a great deal on shipping because they can just tape it to the side of some bridge components being made in China that'll be shipping out this way within two years.

Anyone else use Photobucket? The last couple of times I uploaded pictures to my account I couldn't use the choices on the right side of the picture to copy/paste.

I still have some older images on Photobucket, but have not used Photobucket for new images for 7 months.

I am using the forum software now and have had no problems.
