I think Rock Bay would be the place to build an all purpose film industry studio, and be able to take advantage of having water access.
Why do you need water access?

Why do you need water access?
They don't need to go far to film water scenes.

Need an attractive studio if you want the "good" talent to come.

I'd say around 2:20 this gets odd.

It doesn't seem odder than most music videos. I kinda like it. Where was the first segment filmed - the all white space with the escalators? I recognize the Atrium of course, and the end scenes could be the basement of any number of older buildings downtown.
ps: I think that bearded guy has vaped next to me too

The yacht Aspen Alternative arrived in the harbour yesterday. When searching for the owner I came across this tidbit, which indicates it is being used for filming of the remake of the 1987 comedy "Overboard", originally Kurt Russel and Goldie Hawn, now with Eva Longoria (see IMDB).

Apparently Jimmy Pattison and Dennis Washington weren't interested in the charter.

Driving past the 17 Mile House earlier this week I noticed the upper parking lot full of trucks and mobile dressing rooms. The indie film, Elsewhere, starring Beau Bridges, Parker Posey and Aden Young has started shooting. Not sure if they were actually filming in the pub or just using the property as a staging area.

i agree that's the best they had/have? his delivery was good though.
and in the navy captain is only two ranks behind 3-star admiral though.

Without more than a 90-second peek its impossible to know but it looks/sounds interesting and I'm sure I'll go see it, but "yeah" lines that could only be scripted. No naval captain would address a flag officer that casually.
That said a naval "Captain" (N) is a very senior military rank, equivalent to an army colonel or air force group captain (in the British tradition). By virtue of the navy's standing as *the* senior service 4-ring naval captains are considered far more senior than are army or air force captains.

^ There was an April Fools news story that some filming was done over on Whidbey Island. That's about as close as you're going to get to a Victoria connection, methinks.

Are you saying there never was any filming on Whidbey Island, Jackerbie? It sure sounds plausible.
