Someone forgot to tell the CFAX Community Cruiser girl that the Tattoo was cancelled. She reported this morning that "she was on her way..."
So she cancelled going to the tattoo parlor

Dear CFAX1070, if you're going to have a CRD IRSU officer on to answer caller's questions, please ensure the correct answers are being given. (even more puzzling when the host of the segment sits on the CRD Traffic Safety Commission.)

Ya, shaking my head Seb. Can't be that hard to know the whole rule book.

I think you're being sarcastic. If that's the case, if it's your job to know the rule book, then you should know the rule book.
I don't think "but the man on the radio said it was OK" will stand up as a defense in court.

No, sorry, I am with you, no sarcasm. How can the guy pulling you over for infractions not know what the rules are, it's not that hard to study.

Is there a way to cast your vote on the CFAX poll?
Whenever I go to vote there is nothing to click on.
Anyone else?

I know that they sometimes write these stories phonetically, for reading on the air, but would you spell canine this way?
Thirty ill or wounded bulldogs turned over to Vancouver Island SPCA
Cfax1070:
SPCA offices in Nanaimo, Duncan and Victoria are being inundated with ill and wounded dogs.
Animal welfare specialists say an overwhelmed Vancouver Island breeder has been forced to give up 30 bulldogs.
Officials aren't willing to say where the breeder operates or who they are, but confirm the majority of the pooches are facing serious medical issues.
In some cases the bulldog and mixed bulldog K-9s have lost eyes to infections and have been forced to undergo emergency surgeries.
A Victoria veterinarian says bulldogs are one of the most medically volatile breeds in existence and their growing popularity has many breeders taking on more animals than they can care for.
Adoption applications for the healing pups can be dropped off at SPCA offices on the south Island.

So much for election online voting ever catching on.

I think it's related to the phenomenon of people spelling "barbecue" as BBQ.
However, I wouldn't be surprised if the writer was afraid the newsreader would say "canine" to rhyme with "panini".

Cop cars that carry cop dogs are labeled K9
I know, it's kind of tongue-in-cheek. But in this story, I don't understand the usage.

Maybe this is one of those bulldog K-9s, after a hard day on the beat.

Yes, in later newscasts this morning they have added the CFAX part. They did not at 5am-6am.

Victoria sure seems to have had more than it's fair share of scam artists over the years. I guess because of our high retiree population, there is a lot of fish in our barrel.
