The Roundhouse Cafe should be opening now that they have their operating permit.

Bad news for So-Ya in Trounce Alley? The space has been closed since February 1st.

Last I checked today is only February 2nd - isn't that only a one day closure? Might not a personal emergency be responsible for the sudden closure and not a major business failure? Just sayin' is all...

Yesterday they were closed, that's one day, and today they've been closed as well. That's two days.

Personal emergency or not, a restaurant doesn't just shut its doors leaving a (now) dated note stuck to the door.

And of course at the end/start of a month it's also suspect.  ie. rent day.

Yes but it's Groundhog Day so they are closed, and this is also a non Leap Year, so restaurants are instructed to insert the Atomic Leap Second into their menu 5 months early.  :rtfm:

If the sign is still up at the end of the week, then it's cause to worry; no need to bury the body while there is still a pulse.

I'm not sure if that's what I did. I just posed a question and in another thread made an inference. Think of it what you will but a restaurant leaving a dated note on the door and closing for two days in a row is not a good sign. They may very well re-open tomorrow but this sudden closure is suspect.

There is nothing to indicate that the 1st is rent day for this business.

Are you suggesting most businesses do not pay their rent on the 1st?  I think most do.

I don't.  I am sure others don't, either.  I don't know when this place pays it's rent.

Well, I do (for my office) and the last three businesses I worked at also paid on the 1st.  I know not everyone does, but I think most do.

It appears the new Toyota dealership has a food place inside:
