A two-level unit with the highest views in Victoria is amazing. A smaller unit (albeit with a higher floor, but 10x tackier) sells for similar in Vancouver’s Trump high rise. Apples to oranges and also totally irrelevant if you have a need to be in Van, but if I had a spare $3m for real estate, I know where I’d park it.

As an owner I made a Facebook group for fellow Hudson Place One owners. If any owners would like to join to share updates, questions about the building, deals on parking or any other issues owners encounter let me know and I can send you an invite!

Townline's CEO probably doesn't want to pay the extra $15K /year in Speculator tax, although that would be $45K in Vancouver once you add in the 1% empty homeowners tax Vancouver tacks on!Scuttlebutt last year was that Townline’s CEO would retain the entire top floor for himself. New direction?

We have one of these FB groups at Promontory and Encore and it works well.

Yeah I actually got the idea from someone in the Promontory, they said it was a real asset for them and all the owners seemed to benefit.

it’s unobtrusive right? if owners want to check common issues they can. they can lurk or contribute.
Exactly, basically a bulletin board for owners to communicate with each other if they choose.

You can see 989 Johnson through the gap there.

In other words, the high floors on the east tower of 989 Johnson have partial harbour views.
For purposes of comparison, this unit doesn't quite have the same view (pic from https://www.realtor.ca):

So are they now working on the roof feature, having completed the floors?

What's the location of that cool looking "ruin" in the second photo? Is it the remains of the Plaza Hotel?
