Indeed - the Victorian 'Magic shield of pedestrian protection'!
If you're going to jaywalk, go ahead, but !run! so that you're not holding up the show!

They heard me honk over the sound of the music coming from their ear buds, though.
That was part of the motivation for me to upgrade my OE mouse squeak horns to a pair of Hella Sharptones. 115 dB of why the heck aren't you paying attention? Too many people tuning out the world around them with headphones.

The annoying thing is; I would have hit her from behind, which would have made things really tough for me.

Time for a dashcam. Better to buy one now and complain about people on YouTube than to wait until you're found at-fault for a crash because there were no witnesses or the other party lied...

Speaking of dashcams, can anyone point me in the direction of a good dashcam fitter in the Victoria area. PM me if we are not allowed to advertise company names on site.

I want to get one of those low frequency rumble horns/sirens.

You have one you want installed? Any of the car audio shops would be able to do a nice job for you.

Yes I've researched a few and they get mixed reviews. Was hoping maybe someone on here or several contributors might have had experience of one and could highly recommend it.

I don't know how I lived without real time traffic....(this is from a few weeks ago). Has saved me so many times. If there is an accident on the Pat Bay I'll just go West Saanich or Cordova Bay Road.

Awesome. For those without a $100k car, your smartphone will do the same albeit not as conveniently affixed to your dash using Apple or Google Maps (or Waze)

My $16k Chevy Spark has Android Auto and does the exact same thing. (Runs off Google Maps)
