I'm not being a jerk, I'm leading by example.
HWY1 was a crawl today. Why? Some construction work between Tillicum and McKenzie. As usual, Victoria drivers seem to want to merge way too early, leaving one lane completely unoccupied. All this does is back up the traffic and slow everything down.

Some can't handle the stress of not knowing what the end will bring.

I was going into town just after they closed the one lane down at Mackenzie, traffic was backed up to Uptown Mall. I took a different route home.

Doesn't help that everyone was merging as soon as they saw the construction signs...

Saanich Police say a pedestrian received minor injuries Tuesday night after being hit by a vehicle at Douglas and Cloverdale.Police say the vehicle, described only as a yellow car, fled the scene after hitting the pedestrian shortly before 10pm.
A yellow car...cant be too many of them around besides taxis.

Just a follow-up - the merge was quite easy for myself and the driver behind. It worked perfectly with no fist shaking.
The driver behind me indicated numerous times to move into various gaps in the left lane but ultimately followed me right to the end.

Word on the street:
Today's accident on the Pat Bay at the Keating exit was caught on a dash cam. A driver hesitated when she made the left turn and came to a complete stop in the middle of the highway. Thats when the motorcyclist T-boned the car.
Thank goodness he is fine... He got thrown a few feet off his bike.
I might have asked this before, is any manufacturer offing a built-in dash-cam option?

I think the Corvette is the only one with a camera built in. Designed to record your laps around the track.
