I really disappointed that no one has posted drone and/or satellite footage of the Subaru incident.  :badpc:

Yeah, sounds bad. Saanich crews are assisting.

There's also a flipped car in the Qualicum area of the TCH. An individual is being (or already had been) medivac'd.

Know it all.

Cyclist struck vehicle it turns out. Bit of a freak (mechanical) accident.

I didn't realize SPD had released details so I will expand on my one liner.

Rear tire of the bike locked up quite a distance before the intersection, cyclist hits the ground and essentially slides into the van which had no reasonable opportunity to react and was being operated properly. Tragic for all involved.

I feel awful for all involved; the driver of the van whom will forever have that image in his head and will always question what could have been done differently (we all know it was truly an accident that he could not have prevented)), the other cyclists that were with the victim, the other drivers on the road that witnessed the accident (a friend of mine) and the victims family.

That is a narrow winding road that I try to avoid driving on let alone cycling.

So initially they said he had passed, now it's changed to expected to survive?

Ok, so from dead to not expected to live? Just want to confirm that they had indeed changed their content.
