Name came from french word Promenade = "going for a walk" and the fact building is in the center of Langford, about a 20 minute walk (or under) from shopping centers, grocery stores, services, restaurants, cinemas, 2 levels of schooling, parks, playgrounds and so on. We felt it was a location where many residents would and could walk to a lot of places.

No river rock indeed. Other "stone like" or brick cladding is allowed on lower floors from what I understand.
The building has "Nichiha" brand "Sandstone" colour sidding on the ground floor and some of the same brand "Illumination" series on the facade, hence the cleaner look.
Exterior is almost complete. Interior is complete.

Hmm, actually not too bad. I like the materials and colours. Better than my (admittedly low) expectations!
