Chance to own a piece of History! Genuine Oak Bay squad car, just think of the possible Oak Bay residents that have been chauffeured in this lovely white Ford, the backseat is soaked with history, quite sure. http://www.usedvictoria.com/classified-ad/2011-Ford-Crown-Victoria-Police-Interceptor--only-128600-km_28324146

Like the new style paint job of the new Oak Bay Police squad cars(they been around for some years now) where you can't tell it's a police car from the front now every white car in your mirror you have to assume is a police car. Very sneaky.

I've always been a bit puzzled by the public "fear" of Police cars that aren't neon colours with the work "Police" on every square inch - incidentally the Oak Bays are kind of neon and say Police on both sides, the back, and the roof.

Unrelated, add that Crown Vic silent partner to the list of things I'd never want to touch. Even used Police cars gross me out.

Only fear if you're doing wrong.

I'd rather own a used police car then a used ambulance, had to assist in pulling up the carpet on a dead body transport vehicle once, the smell was deadly.

The old red Oak Bay ambulance was still being driven around town up until at least a couple years ago.

Missing person

Westshore RCMP is asking for the public’s help in finding 29-year-old Langford resident Robert Weeks.

Weeks is a white male, six feet tall and approximately 100 pounds with bald hair and a blonde thin goatee.

Is that description correct?  The weight seems low.

The mom was on Facebook last night stating that weight was correct, and then posted a photo of someone who appeared to be perhaps over 200 lbs. Bizarre.

Is it still common practise to describe someone in imperial measurements instead of metric?

He has been found, in any event.

I think that's how most people do it in every day language here in Canada, yes.

Geez Louise. Just pour out your beer already and let it go.

In Canada it is illegal to drink alcohol outside of a Tim Hortons cup.

This is Victoria - the consumption of controlled substances is a grey area at best anymore.

Public consumption of alcohol is only undertaken by degenerates and ne'er-do-wells.

...

...

Oh, and Olympic athletes.

Looks like the crime stats database is back up and running. www.crimereports.com

About 250 incidents reported in the downtown core in the past 30 days.
