At $239K entry level this one might end up as airbnb central.

I don't think that zoning permits short term rentals in this area...

Even so, their first strata council should make it a priority that no AirBnB's are allowed. If people are planning to make this building their home, I don't imagine they want to live in a quasi-hotel.

I'm sure it will end up mostly investor units.  So be it.

...it has a sliding door to each side so you just roll off the bed in either direction.

Yeah, but it's not ideal. The access to the sleeping area is very narrow so you need to awkwardly inchworm your way out through the sliding door before you can continue rolling to your destination.

The trick is to try to stay overnight at your dates/partner's house.  Consider every time you sleep at home a failure in the dating department.

I do, which is why I normally drink a ton of coffee right before bedtime.

"Did you sleep at home last night?"    Nope.

"Did you sleep alone last night?"        Nope.

"Did you sleep at all last night?"         Nope.

So I suppose in your world every homeless person is having terrific romantic success? Congratulations, you just posted the 2nd most offensive thing that I've ever read on the internet.

I see a lot of condoms around town, so I'd say yes.

Looks like a pretty standard studio layout to me, and in fact it's much larger than the norm. Most studios are in the 350-400 square foot range, and the one below is 452 square feet. It's got a decent sized balcony, too.

The bedroom of 906 is surrounded on 3 sides by 904.

And although small, both layouts seem to be quite efficient and make good use of the space.

Many of the layouts do not, but you're right, these ones leave very little unused/awkward space (save having your bedroom surrounded on 3 sides by your neighbour).

Wait, hold on.

I've never seen a layout quite like that before. Those two bedrooms (one being the windowless bedroom sd referred to) belong to separate units?

Yes, this is what I pointed out in my post.

Interesting to see some unusual shapes emerging at such an early stage of construction.

So is this worth looking at from an investment perspective?

It depends what inventory remains available and how much you can thrown down for a down payment.

In today's (October 19) market a true one-bedroom unit without parking would fetch $1,500 to $1,700, depending on where it is situated in the building.

A studio would fetch $1,300 to $1,450, IMO with the premium rate reserved for a top-notch location.

The developers have been very quiet in that regard, for sure. If you'd like, I can put you in touch with the developer. If you could PM me your email I'll take it from there.
