The former Dockside Green gym space (Tyee & Harbour Rd) seems to have been leased/purchased.  Paper up on the windows and construction crew working the last week or so.  Maybe a retail space??... not a very extensive construction fit out by the looks of it, minimal interior partitioning... anyone have any further info on this one?

If it's Unit #103, they're doing enough interior renos to require a building permit! It looks like Acacia Physiotherapy is expanding or moving into that unit.

Not sure what the unit # is... yeah, definitely enough work to require permits.

Interesting with the Westside and current Dockside locations so close... maybe expanding/breaking out certain parts of the business like they did with Westside, which is their physio, chiro, massage hub.  Dockside looks to primarily focus on a variety of naturopathic treatments/therapies.  They offer alot, looks like they are doing well and likely expanding the business!  Will be nice to bring some life to that corner.

Is their existing store undergoing renos, or something?

We had two full-size Aritzia stores in Richmond Centre mall for 8 months, I didn't blink at the prospect of two Lululemons within a block of each other  :)

I just thought it was amusing that the Lululemon customer base would have barely a block between stores, but they probably drive to get to their workout facilities too.

Its a 'quick' refresh reno for Lululemon, plan is to be back before the Christmas rush.  They have had significant issues with the Gym above the store when the muscle heads drop their weights after their clean and jerks... sounds like the whole gym is going to come through the ceiling.

Some action at the eternally vacant standalone in NE (Bay/Tyee) corner of Westside Village the other day... dumpster was infront of the space, possible demo happening of whatever is left in there...

You mean where the TD used to be? That should become a Tim Hortons. Already has a drive thru

Yup, that's the space.

l can just imagine the parking gong show with a Tim Hortons there... one of the tightest parking lots already, add a line of drive thru coffee goers, you'd never get in or out of that place!

Ah yes, thanks for posting. Saw this but forgot to post. There was a rumour going around that it was going to be restaurant with a patio, but fairly quiet up until last week. From what I saw the old bank was getting pretty much gutted so I'm guessing it won't be replaced by an office type user.

The for lease sign was still up on the outside of this building last week, but they may have just not taken it down yet.

It is already hard to exit the Westside parking lot onto Wilson.  That lot is pretty busy, even with that space empty.  I am not sure how busy it is underneath, though. Lots of people seem to park underground and walk over to Fol Epi etc.

Walked past there yesterday and noticed a sign on the front door for Tapestry Music. They've got stores in Vancouver and White Rock, and their website says the Victoria location is opening September 2017.

Toys R Us filed for bankruptcy protection in the US, expected to file in Canada soon. Looks like they will try to restructure, with the stores remaining open for the time being.

Online just makes sense for the toy business.
