I agree with Sebberry. I assume if you call your fire "sacred" you are allowed to let it burn 24 hours/day, 7 days/week ad infinitum. I would certainly be willing to challenge campfire restrictions for this reason. Seriously - someone should do this.

Why can't people just take their crap with them instead of piling it on top of an overflowing garbage can?
When the trashcan starts erupting that's how you know it's sacred throw a match in and wait a few minutes, you'll have room.

Just a reminder there beach fires are banned throughout the Greater Victoria and Westshore areas, including North Saanich, Sooke and Metchosin (despite public perception that they’re allowed at the region’s extremities).
