So apparently the natural health products guy is holding out.  Demolition is about to happen all around him.

I love how "condos" are bad (i.e. The more bloody condos guy) but "housing" is good.

"We need more affordable housing! Not condos God Damnit!"

To many, condos are affordable. They are obviously housing.

Anyway, I was talking with a co worker once who was lamenting the potential loss of Tooks on Cook... I mean is there a more mediocre place out there?

I have found Tooks on Cook's food to be quite bland.

It's actually still around:  they just moved a block north to the former home of Café Ceylon, a great restaurant whose food was never bland.

I liked Tooks on Cook. It is a great place to get decent food and coffee and not feel bad that you brought your kids. Haven't been to the new locale yet.

12-2pm groundbreaking today.

Just got my reminder email from The Black and White sales team. I might stop by if the weather were going to be more hospitable. I wonder if any of the anti-progress types will make an appearance?

12-2pm groundbreaking today.

I've never heard of a groundbreaking happening while one of the businesses in the existing building is still open. But if the ceremony involves kicking them out and taking a sledgehammer to the shop, I'm in.

It looks like he has moved most of his stuff to his new joint.

If he had an alternate location chosen, what was his issue?

I was wondering how they were going to do a "groundbreaking" with a building already there.

Sort of kind of. Throw names at me and I might be able to say no, at least :) We know what it "won't" be, at least.
