I'm starting to understand the price point for these condos. Abstract must be paying their insurance company a fortune to be doing this sort of work in such close proximity to other buildings.

Its not actually the builders it the blasters.
Its a civil matter if the blaster causes damage to the building the building owner would have to go after the blaster.
No different than if your next door neighbor hires an arborist to cut down a tree and the tree lands on and breaks your fence. You dont go after the property owner you go after the arborist.
In the case of the blasters they have insurance as would the arborist

The point was that performing such work requires higher premiums, whether the owner pays them directly or pays them to the blaster who charges higher fees is semantics.

Most of the pictures I took today were not good, entirely due to high winds, a dusty site and glare. Nothing to do with the expertise of the photographer, of course...
It is hard to tell from this photo, but there is still a chunk of rock on the Zen building site, left of the rubber (?) stuff that looks like it would need blasting maybe.

Some progress for sure, won't be too long until the footing prep work gets complete. I guess additional blasting against the Zen building will be tricky not to cause collateral damage.

Where does most of the blasted rock end up?

Crushed into aggrigate, put in the cement, and sold back to the developer

Interesting to know where the rock goes! Lots of movement in the last 2 weeks, with the road moved against the Zen building, lots of rock removed from that side and forms and rebar and lots of stuff I can't name accurately. Brain injuries kinda suck the memory right out of ya. But I have concrete proof via MRI that I have a brain, so I am ahead of some people out there.

Considerable progress at the site. It won't be may weeks before the base of the build is complete. Glad you have a sense of humor

Great progress in just one week between photos.
Abstract certainly has lots on the go with an almost complete Madison, B&W 90% sold and Bowker having a great sales start. It won't be long before 1201 Fort becomes the new Abstract kid on the block.

You're right Glen. And it seems Abstract may have come up with a compromise design that will placate the neighbours of 1201 Fort.
