Hello Folks,
I have purchased a suite in the Janion, but am thinking about selling it before it is completed. Can anyone tell me what the process would be to do this and does anyone have an idea of market value for the various suites in the building? Any input would be appreciated.

Hi Andy.
Your first step should be to get in touch with Reliance Properties to ensure that you are able to sell or re-assign the contract to another purchaser before completion. Having a lawyer review the contract wouldn't hurt, either.
The building isn't due to be completed until next year but the contract specifies that Reliance has until early 2017 to complete.

Not sure where else to post this article - Reliance Properties is planning a 30 storey micro-loft tower in Vancouver.
Could micro-condos help address Vancouver’s housing supply and affordability issues?
Reliance Properties plans to build a 25 to 30-storey tower at 902 Davie Street, a site at the southwest corner of Davie and Hornby streets that is currently occupied by a 7-Eleven convenience store.
The tower will be comprised of micro-units between 175 and 275 square feet, with outdoor gardens every few floors and a rooftop space as well as amenities such as a dining spaces, an electronic library and a study hall.

Working on the 3rd floor...
The first shot shows the Janion relative to the new east side approach. That's a lot of structural steel that has been added to the existing building - I can't imagine how unsafe it must have been for earthquakes. Also, see my post in the JSB thread for more pics of what looks to be a stairway from the JSB plaza to the Harbour Walkway. Also, as Marko's previous pic shows, the ground floor unit will have a taller ceiling than the upper units.

^I'm looking at these photos and wondering if the floors of the new construction are at a different angle than the old Janion and then I say, duh, Rob, both buildings' floors are the same level. Parallel to the earth. For a smart guy I can be pretty dumb.

Crane Graffiti and 4th Floor Falsework...
I just noticed the graffiti on the tower crane's gray mast. In going back through my pictures it was there on the 14th of May but not on May 8th, so the deed must have been done some time between those two dates. One of the words says "China", the rest appears to be gang speak.
