Well, it’ll depend on how all the teams fare over their last regular season games. Like it is in most league sports.

What date will we know the exact dates of the playoff games?

Heading into Tuesday’s final SIX games, starting with the Island rivalry with Nanaimo Tuesday night, while the HarbourCats have clinched a playoff spot, the final seeding is not yet determined and there is still a chance for the ‘Cats to win the second half North Division title and clinch home field in the first round.

Whatever transpires, the first possible playoff game in VICTORIA will be EITHER Tuesday, August 8th at 6:35 PM OR Wednesday, August 9th at 6:35 pm.   If that first game is WEDNESDAY, there could be a possible second home game on THURSDAY, August 10th at 6:35 PM (this would be game three of the best of three series).

Be it ever so humble, there’s no place like home on Caledonia. The Victoria HarbourCats made a little history on Wednesday night, becoming the winningest team at home in West Coast League history thanks to a 9-5 victory over the Nanaimo NightOwls at Wilson’s Group Stadium at Royal Athletic Park.

What date will we know the exact dates of the playoff games?

HarbourCats Player of the Year Tyler Davis had a clutch two-out RBI in the top of the eighth, and Jack Johnson had an RBI double in the top of the ninth, to give the HarbourCats all they runs they needed, in an eventual 3-0 win over the Edmonton Riverhawks Sunday afternoon in the final game of the West Coast League regular season at Re-Max Field in Edmonton.

The win gave the HarbourCats the sweep over the Riverhawks, but more importantly, secured first place in the second-half North Division standings and the second seed in the playoffs, with the home field advantage that comes along with that.

What this means then is that the HarbourCats will open the North Divisional Playoffs Tuesday, August 8th IN Wenatchee against the AppleSox and then come home for Game 2 of the series on Wednesday and Game 3 (if needed) on Thursday.

The HCats wrote us with the following in response:

We play at home on Wednesday, August 8th at 6:35pm. If needed, we would play Game 3 on Thursday the 10th at 6:35pm

If we advance, we play here in North Final on Saturday august 12th at 6:35 pm.

If we advace to final, and if we have home advantage (playing anyone but Corvalis)) we would host WCL final on Monday August 14th.

Know it all.

Confusing. But I think the post season is short. Players gotta get back to college.

Looks like they won tonight on the road.

So they just need to win one more at home to go to the finals.  6:35pm tomorrow.   And 6:35pm Thursday if necessary.

The 'Cats will look to clinch the series in Game 2 on Wednesday night at Wilson's Group Stadium in Victoria at 6:35PM. Should a Game 3 be needed in the series, it will be played on Thursday night in Victoria at 6:35PM.

Should the 'Cats advance to the next round, note that this would be a ONE-GAME North Division Final on Saturday evening IN VICTORIA, with a 6:35pm start time against either Bellingham or Kelowna.

The winner of that game, then advances to a ONE-GAME WCL Championship Final on Monday, August 14th. If the HarbourCats advance to that, and anybody BUT the Corvallis Knights advance out of the South, that Championship Final would be played in VICTORIA!

Thanks to a 6-2 victory in Game 1 on Tuesday night in Wenatchee, the HarbourCats now have two chances to win the best-of-three series on home turf, including tonight when they host Game 2 at Wilson’s Group Stadium at Royal Athletic Park.

HarbourCats look to bounce Bells in division final

No room for error in one-game, winner-take-all final

They’re two evenly matched teams, but the Victoria HarbourCats hope they’ve got the Bellingham Bells right where they want them.

The HarbourCats host the Bells in the West Coast League North Division final tonight at Wilson’s Group Stadium at Royal Athletic Park.

What a game this was on Saturday, down 5-0 after 2 innings.  Final tonight has been pushed back to 8pm due to the heat down in Corvalis (over 40 degrees at around 6:30pm).

HarbourCats have Tay Tay tickets.

FOUR WAYS TO WIN TAYLOR SWIFT TICKETS on Vancouver Island, thanks to Maxxam Insurance

The HarbourCats, along with our friends at the Nanaimo NightOwls, Maxxam Insurance, Champ Promotions and the Cowichan Valley Capitals are offering fans a chance to win Taylor Swift tickets for the concerts in Vancouver in December!

For Immediate Release

February 7, 2024

Victoria, BC  – She’s a phenomenon, the hottest act on Planet Earth — and Vancouver Island sports groups, including your Victoria HarbourCats, have teamed up with Maxxam Insurance to give fans four different venues to win tickets to the high-in-demand (and expensive!) Taylor Swift concerts coming to Vancouver in December.

The top baseball teams in Victoria and Nanaimo, the HarbourCats and NightOwls, along with Champ Promotions and the Cowichan Valley Capitals, each have two tickets for Taylor Swift that will be given away live at their respective events.  Your first chance to win is on May 11th but it might be wise (Owl reference)  to get tickets to all of the events to increase your odds.  These events will sell out so get your tickets as soon as you can.
