An 8-2 win at home tonight means we head to Kelowna tomorrow just needing one win in our possible two games there in order to make it to the WCL championship final series.

So if I'm not mistaken, if they can close this out in Kelowna (they have two chances to get one win) then they will come home if they face Corvallis, but will go straight to Yakima if the Pippins win the south. the Yakima Pippins are up 1-0, and just need one more win to claim the south.
If the HarbourCats come home, we will have one game at home in the best-of-three finals. If we start in Yakima, we go for 1 game there and up to two home games here to close out.

HarbourCats have swept the north final series.
With the win, the HarbourCats advance to the franchise’s first West Coast League Championship Series.
They will play the winner of the South Final, which is tied one game apiece between the Yakima Valley Pippins and Corvallis Knights.
Game one will be played on Saturday, August 12 with games two and three taking place on Monday and Tuesday, August 14 and 15.
If Corvallis advances, game one would be played in Victoria, and if Yakima Valley advances, the HarbourCats would host games two and three.
Ticket info for the WCL Championship Series will be announced in the very near future.

I gotta be honest with you, I'm more into standing and/or watching from a few different places. You'll find me out by "K-man" for part of the game, standing near the huge lamp post on the R field side, or by the main beer window.
And I don't pay for my tickets, so I could have asked for the best seats I guess, but no point taking a seat for just part of the game.
Oh, good news, the main grandstand (section 10) is sold out now. Lots of other tickets available though.

What a weekend at Bernie’s this turned out to be.A walk-off double in the bottom of the ninth inning by Po-Hao Huang from Taiwan, nicknamed Bernie by his teammates, gave the Victoria HarbourCats a heart-racing 5-4 victory over the Corvallis Knights in Game 1 of the West Coast League final. On a night when the first drops of precipitation in weeks fell on Royal Athletic Park, Huang rained on the Knights before a WCL playoff-record 2,789 fans. The Cats entered the bottom of the ninth trailing 4-3 before rallying for two runs and the win, with the decisive blow delivered by Huang.Corvallis is the franchise that ate the WCL. The HarbourCats have been nibbling around the edges, but now are looking to break down the door. The Knights, named after Penny Knight, their main sponsor and wife of Nike co-founder Phil Knight, are playing in their ninth league final in 11 years and are after their fifth WCL title. The HarbourCats, in their fifth season, are playing in their first final. The series now shifts to Corvallis, Oregon, for Game 2 on Monday and Game 3, if required, on Tuesday.“I was just trying to do my best and win the game for the HarbourCats and the fans,” Huang said through an interpreter.“I knew if I hit it deep [Andrew Shaps was on second base with one out], we could win the game. I can feel the excitement of the fans and my teammates.”

So, Bernie has his own cheering section, a whole crew of folks waving the Taiwan flag. It's quite the thing to see.
I think it really was a perfect game yesterday. Of note but not in the article, our 17-year-old pitcher came in for a little over an inning, giving up just one run. Or it might not have even been his, might have been charged to our starter.
