In the 80's in Victoria two cranes smashed into each other. The impact caused one operator to fall out and to his death. He was deemed to be the guy that rotated past his stop marker, and he was also found to be intoxicated by alcohol. Not sure if adjustments have been made now to stop this from happening.

And when St. Andrew's Square was being built didn't the crane collapse?
Let's hope there's no "St. Andrew's crane curse", considering what previously stood at this site.

I don't think so, I think they'll be dismantled the same way they were erected.
I harken for the days when cranes helped each other, regardless of political stripe, race, creed, religion, brand, and skin colour.

Don't we already have that song?
I got cranes in my head and they won't go,
Condos in my head and they won't go.
But the blasting still rattles oh...

It's taking forever to remove the final bits of excavation from this site.
