Thanks, Sarah.

Do you have a date for the exterior bike rack install?

I've contacted the City to ask.

The "conditional" variance was granted September 10th, you'd think the bike racks would be here by now.

The building has been put up for sale to the tune if $19.1 million.

The sale is brokered by CBRE Victoria.

- Property has been tastefully retrofitted and re-tenanted, which has established a proven revenue stream for the asset.

- Significant capital improvements have been completed to generate market leading rental figures.

- Approximately 7,200 SF of land provides an opportunity to expand the property’s revenue.

- The central location is within walking distance of numerous amenities located in Victoria’s vibrant downtown core.

- A number of recently completed projects in Victoria’s downtown core have gentrified the area and bolstered demand from renters looking for a central location to live.

Make a full price offer and they'll throw them in, along with some painted jigsaw pieces too I bet.

Assessed at $13.8M in July 2015 (before they installed bike racks).

Yep, rejected steel from the JSB. Lock your bike at your own risk.

What's the event in the courtyard/parking lot this weekend?  And if I come to it, where do I park my bike, and by what locking method shall I secure it?

VHF, There are a few trees around.

It's some beer event. Not sure what the deal is, exactly, but it's taking place on the parking lot.

Today's event is the "Dominion Rocket Block Party", from 4:00 - 9:00 pm.

A beer garden will be hosted by City Craft Beers, the Yates Street Taphouse will have a BBQ, and Liquor Express will have a craft beer tasting.  There will also be live DJs.

Admission is by donation to the Greater Victoria Housing Society.

Attendees can leave their bikes with the ALS Cycle of Hope, who will be running a bike check by donation.

Six bike racks have been installed, the type that takes one bike per side.

That seems 50% short of the required goal of 24 spaces still.

Those look like City racks. Are you sure Rocket paid for them?

I never saw them being installed, so unsure.  They could just be City mandated design, I suppose.  But the way they were marked out 7 days in advance could mean there was at least some coordination between parties.
