BC conservative party is always going to be more fringe than even the greens unless they do a major major image overhaul, but instead they seem to be doubling down with this new leader.

Ya, it's hard to believe at their convention someone didn't stand up and say "you know this does not look good, right?"  Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Do they even have anyone capable of processing complex thoughts like this?

Following this winning logic, the NDP convention should elect a corrupt union boss and the Green Party should elect a woman that weaves moss into menstrural pads.

I dunno, it could have been worse. Hunters are stewards of the environment in more ways than most people would imagine. They're the ones who work to ensure our natural environment remains pristine and they help establish regulations ensuring those who wish to hunt in BC do so in a respectful and an environmentally aware manner. The meat professional hunters collect will be eaten (whether by them or whether it goes to charity), and the skins have their use as well.

I don't think most people have that perception though. They think of it as trophy hunting for the big prize.

Yeah I know, and that's unfortunate.

Meanwhile most who object to sport hunting have no problem eating slaughtered beef and chickens.

Well, let's not confuse ecology and ethics. Has this thread drifted far enough off yet?

For the record, while I am in favour of the STV, I think the masses (youth, urban folks) won't be won over until we have online voting. Sure, I love the community spirit of going to the school hall, but many people don't and would rather do a 2-minute version on their smartphone.

I think online voting could become almost a beer drinking game for youth unless it was made pretty tedious.
Life's a journey......so roll down the window and enjoy the breeze.
