The new terminal has arrived in the Inner Harbour.

What's neat, and will be visible from the air, is the live roof.  Here are a few more photos from Feb 28.

It's a good looking building for the harbour.

The signage is gonna make or break it for me.

No signage needed, just a wind sock on the roof.

Here's the live roof.  Looks like succulents.

What sort of birds eat succulents? I hope it isn't seagulls.

The first passengers passed through Harbour Air and Kenmore Air’s new floating terminal in Victoria Harbour on Monday.

It was a soft opening with finishing touches still to come. The terminal’s grand opening is planned for May 5.

“This is a model for the world,” said Randy Wright, vice-president of the Harbour Air group.

The terminal, with a plant-covered roof following the lines of a wave, is an example of what can be developed for seaplane service around the globe, he said.

Pretty generic.  Nobody wanted to spring for an interior designer?  At least at Helijet, I can grab a vodka 7.

I think this is a wonderful move for the Inner Harbour. It will look way nicer once they've torn down the portables on the land.

Picked up a couple of friends from there last weekend. I think it's great. Not too big or small, blends well with the harbour. The off dock area needs work now though, and Red Fish Blue Fish is starting to look out of place a bit further over ( the storage container parts anyways)

For free at that! This is west coast interior design now a days though.

I assume it's meant to be reminiscent of YYJ.
