This place looks great. I just hope the big project in the works for the east end of the block doesn't blow the whole deal.

Just received notice for orientation on Feb. 28 with anticipated closing on March 8.  A bit surprised; not expecting it until late March.  Although it did appear that activity on site went into super high gear after the snow melted last week.

You can walk right along the sidewalk now, it's all cleaned up.  The entire Escher sales/admin team is there today, I presume to do some walk-throughs.

Some wall panels are still missing on the east side of the building.  Commercial on the ground floor might not be spoken for, the curtain wall panels where signage will go is still plywood.

Glad to hear. Yesterday morning around 11:00 the sidewalk was closed in front of Escher, which frustrated this pedestrian when he hoped to get a close-up look of the nearly completed building.

Doing walk-throughs with a few clients this week and Chard has address a lot of my pet peeves!

Finally, programmable thermostats.

Half decent closet organizers.

Smooth ceilings, no popcorn :)

Half decent electric car charging!

A rooftop you can actually use (raised glass for wind protection)

Smooth ceilings look so much better, but the extra cost is not insignificant. Surprising.

Which Chard rooftops are not "usable?"

What extra costs? You just spray paint on instead of the popcorn, yeah you have smooth the joints better but that's about it.

A lot of developers will charge 5k for flat ceilings. It is a lot more work.

^Yeah, it's not an easy or quick job. We had a guy drywall our ceiling and he did a lousy job and we had to get another guy to do it properly and put another skim coat on. When the light hits the right way even the tiniest imperfection is obvious.

I own a unit at the 834 and 40% of the days it is just too windy to enjoy using it.  The raised glass is a great idea in my opinion.

Marko, any idea why they have not sold the last penthouse? I noticed a price drop recently...
