There's a second similar one for $395k on the same floor. Both include parking. Great investment imo.

Heard from numerous friends who live in this building there have been theft and break-ins almost every other day. Doesn’t sound like the building management is doing much about it.
Hmm, 3 to 4 break-ins per week is pretty significant... I'm assuming they're exaggerating the extent of the situation. How are they getting in, if I can ask?
Anyone else on here have insight to offer?

Two common ways are sneaking in right behind a tenant or car entering the front door or the parking garage. Another way is through a friend: Shady person rents a suite, their even shadier friends now have free reign to roam the building. I've kicked out a person sleeping in the basement stairwell saying their buddy kicked them out.

When I lived downtown my brand new building with the latest in gadgets and cameras was targeted regularly and it really didn’t matter how much you tried to follow the rules, some bozo would eventually thwart Rule #1 and a perp would get in. And the craziest thing is they wouldn’t even hide it, they’d walk in like they owned the place and do whatever they wanted to do within the space they were in. One of the issues with these buildings is you also can’t call 911 from undergrounds as there’s usually no signal or it’s spotty so people won’t linger if they see someone they think could be breaking into cars, etc.
Know it all.

In my building each floor requires a unique fob to access. If you get into the building, via the front door, without a fob you can’t go anywhere but the lobby. If you get into the garage you still can’t get into the lobby. I’ve been told that in it’s twelve years of existence no suite has ever been broken into. Is this sort of system not common in modern buildings?

My building (1008 Pandora) has the same system. I have yet to hear of any break-ins or anything like that.

it's really just parking lots and storage areas/lockers that get broken into. not suites generally.

Seeing a lot of units in this building hit the rental market. The location is what it is, but does anyone have first or second-hand accounts of their occupancy experience so far?
