MaraNatha Natural Almond Butter has been recalled by nSPIRED Natural Foods Inc. due to the possibility of the presence of salmonella.

Many people would have purchased this product at Costco in 737 g sized jars. Return this product to wherever it was purchased to receive a refund. Costco does not require a receipt, but other grocers may.

The effective expiry dates for the recalled items are 2014DE08 to 2015JN20. These dates are posted on the lid.

Actually this recall applies to several of MaraNatha's SKUs (peanut butters and almond butters). For a complete list of effected products, sizes and B.B. dates go here  http://healthycanadi...s/index-eng.php. Type Maranatha into the search bar. The 737 gm are likely a Costco exclusive size but the 340 and 500 gms are sold all over town. I doubt that any store would require a receipt (if they carry the product). They give a refund and then bill back the distributor who gives them a refund and bills back the supplier/manufacturer.
