The Next has an address on Cook Street (in the village) but the entrance is on Sutlej.  has been open for three weeks and was pretty full on a Tuesday night.  this is a welcome addition to the Village and since it is two blocks from my condo, it will be my go to sushi restaurant.  I was sitting beside a chef from another downtown sushi restaurant and he gave it two thumbs up.  the dishes were beautifully presented with lots of greenery and the flavours were distinctive and lasted long after getting home.  I will be back tomorrow for Ramen for lunch.

I couldn't find a website. How are the prices for a typical special roll or a lunch box (under $10, 10-12, 12+)? One of the biggest things I miss about Vancouver is the availability of good sushi for good prices. Ie. the Sushi Garden chain.

Yeah I looked up the place, it's on urban spoon but no menu or prices shown.

The Next is serving high quality goods. Been in for lunch bento box and full dinner this summer. Nice sake selection. Agree with others its not value picks pricing but i think the high quality makes up for it. Good udon, great tuna. Service is warm and friendly.

I've heard they are expanding into part of the adjoining empty space facing Sutlej.
