I saw them pulling out drywall from the apartment building on the corner of Oliphant today. Seemed odd; I would have thought they'd just pull it down with a backhoe.

You can't take drywall to Hartland. My guess is that it is cheaper to deconstruct than sort afterwards.

You can take drywall to D&L bins on Oldfield but if it is older or doesn't have a date stamp on it there is quite the procedure available here. https://www.worksafe...ndling-asbestos

I find it hard to figure how new condo projects can cause such a stir in the community during the early approval stages, and then the social media sites just die from lack of comment thereafter? Do Nimby's just move on to the next project?? I know the answer................
Has anyone ever seen a Nimby get close to one of those projects they've vilified after they're built? I'm certain they move out from the community as soon as construction begins, after all, their world came to an end. Not!
I think developers should track resale properties around projects they build, post construction. I'm certain the numbers of resales would indicate no increase in sales. I would use that data to show most of the hype is just that. Try to find resales around this project even now..........they aren't moving. Why should they.
Can't wait to see this building grow into its place in CSV

And the places that do come up for sale increase in value.

Wow! It's a new beginning. This should be a great success for Urban Core Ventures and CSV. The project should be a model of how a project can work for renters and owners keeping CSV viable for everyone.
Nice photos!
