Was disappointed to learn it's in fact an adult man, not some baseball savant boy that got hired by the Blue Jays.

Off to a good start. Been one of the few bright spots with the Jays so far.
Michael Saunders, two home runs last night. Hitting over .300.

They are going to win the series this year.

I predict they make it to the world series but lose. And I predict there will be significantly more controversy about a Canadian team being in the world series in 2016 than there was in 1992. And aastra will once again observe that it makes no sense for US leagues to be dreaming about expansion to Europe or Mexico or wherever if they still regard places like Toronto or Vancouver as being too exotic and unrelatable.

Europe is going to have an NFL team soon. The nature of the weekly schedule just makes sense, more so than any other league.

I'm sure they'll eventually get one or two teams over there, because the NFL is obsessed with doing it in order to look like a "global" sport. But it's contrived and stupid and the only way it will last is if they prop it up like SOBs.
So the NFL and the NBA will be propping up teams in London and Mexico City and acting like it makes perfect sense, even though the networks still cringe when Toronto gets anywhere near a nationally televised game in prime time. Even though many NBA players couldn't hide their contempt for playing in Vancouver.
Heck, sometimes I get the impression that the networks don't even like it when Seattle gets far. Even Seattle is too foreign and weird.
