A six storey seniors residence, Cherish at Central Park, is coming to the corner of Jacklin Road and Jenkins Avenue in Langford (kitty corner from the Esso station).

The units will be a mixture of rentals and condos.

"Central Park" will be a park created by this development, I think. Too bad it's got the same name as Victoria's Central Park.

And perhaps the slightly better known Central Park in New York City.

And Langford has a "City Centre Park" about a km away on Langford Pkwy.

I dislike the massing. And the name. And the park when there is literally "City Centre Park" not 1 km away. And that it has a church built INTO the building. Bleah.

When there's stuff like the new first nations building on Goldstream going in, there's no excuse for this kind of half assed dross in what will become a fairly prominent area as time goes on..

Never been a fan of that "gigantic house" style of architecture.

When I lived in Calgary, there was a "giant house" condo near our place. At least it had giant fake chimneys...

What a  horrible disgusting POS.  White columns to boot, only thing that appears to be missing is river rock - and I don't mean the casino.  Or maybe I do.

At least it would have a casino! I wouldn't say it's horrible and disgusting, it's just like "meh" to the Nth degree. The lack of inspiration is palpable.

Perhaps they are awaiting divine inspiration.
