Eating this now. It's edible but I'd give the pizza quality at best a 6/10.

Famous Original has moved from a more casual order/pay at the counter model to a seated/server model that makes it feel more like a family restaurant.

In my opinion this is a step in the wrong direction. Didn't stop by often to begin with, but now I'm even less inclined.

I'll weigh in!  Does not matter to me one way or the other.  I guess I am curious to know why they have changed.

I was surprised by the table service but I definitely didn’t mind it. I too am curious why they switched it up.

It’s been the way since sometime last summer - surprised me when I went, don’t like it. Seriously, I just want a friggin slice of pizza, I want to see it first, pay for it and start eating within two minutes. It’s not a fancy high quality wood oven pizza that needs to cooked to order. I don’t need a middle person in my pizza slice transaction. Maybe they did it to so the servers get more pay through tips.

^^it needs to be cooked if your ordering the whole pie.

I think the seat ordering doesn't apply to the by the slice.

Also if you were drinking alcohol, you had to have a waitress anyways.

I was seated when buying a slice, but also a beer. So yeah, by the slice might not apply?

I buy alcohol and slices at Brickyard with no waitress. Are they grandfathered in by some old rules?

I was referring to plans to have more than just a slice and "A" beer. I have always had someone who would have a ran and bring me more drinks there.

Someone would bring it over yes, but you would order/pay up front.

Nope... I would open a tab and order additional drinks from a server and pay them at the end.

I find it delicious by the slice in the restaurant but terrible as take out to bring home

I just wanted one slice with no beer. But you couldn’t even see the pizza slices any more as the glass was translucent. Although I’ll admit that sitting down caused me to also order a beer. Seemed weird to have table service for one slice..
