And maybe have snagged some of that "free" government money.

I saw a V2V boat tied up in the inner harbour a little while ago. Are they still around?
When I google it, I just get VV postings.

Rumour has it that VV has bought V2V. The de-numbering ceremony will take place later this year.

There was a story on it on CTV Vancouver Island news. Cannot find a link for the story.
A Mexican company bought it for use in the Caribbean.

Hullo? Come to Victoria as well as Nanaimo
So jealous that it’s Nanaimo that will get Hullo passenger ferry service.
We need a passenger ferry service as it’s getting clear that B.C. Ferries is struggling with the volume of service for our unbelievable growth in travellers.
The chaos at the terminals on weekends is truly overwhelming staff.
And if the Inner Harbour in Victoria wants to keep out passenger ferries for some unknown reason, fine. Put it in Sidney or Swartz Bay.
All I can say is lucky, lucky Nanaimo residents — and brand new ferries, too!

Dorothy clearly been living under a rock here.
Any bets on how long Hullo will last? I guess they will be gone by Christmas 2026.

Guess what I found in Montserrat:
In exactly one week, the V2V Empress – a 245-person capacity fast catamaran ferry – is scheduled to commence passenger services between Montserrat and Antigua, in a big boost to connectivity between the two islands.
The government of Montserrat signed a contract late last week with NAVIYUC S.A. De C.V., the operators of the vessel, for the service which will run for five months, until March next year. Under that agreement, the vessel will sail five days per week during off-peak periods and six days per week during peak periods (December 2023 and March 2024).
