It's weird, I honestly can't say for sure if I've ever been to Tofino before. And for some reason I don't really have any inclination to check it out.

That is weird especially since your computer has a glitch with repetitive posts

"Tofino? Forget it! Sad! Vancouver will be a surf town that will be trememdous, I gotta tell you. My proposal to turn the eastern end of False Creek into a spectacular urban surf park will be first class!"

If I have to keep all the words in the same order, I'd write it like this (two added commas):

Forget going to Tofino, as Vancouver could soon become a surf town in its own special way, if a proposal to turn the very eastern end of False Creek into an urban surf park is fully realized.

Why not semi-colon after Tofino, and then ditch the 'as' and the comma?

Forget going to Tofino; Vancouver could soon become a surf town in its own special way if a proposal..etc...

Then again, I do like semi-colons!

Daily Hive Vancouver publishes cool story; Victoria geeks just discuss the grammar

I object to the stereotype. Per capita there are hardly any more grammars to discuss in Victoria than there are in Vancouver.

Also, is Vancouver publishing really a thing?

They wanted to make waves, right? Mission accomplished.

Seriously, I was so busy forgetting about Tofino that I forgot to read the story. What they want to do sounds great. They even mention filtering the water. This is the sort of thing that I was thinking of, but my emphasis would have been more on the beach/swimming aspect.

Although it does seem a bit difficult to believe that such a project could really be viable.

I might be great, but watch the grates.

A 12-year-old girl is in "grave condition" in a Lower Mainland hospital after being pulled unconscious from a popular man-made lake in Dawson Creek, B.C.

An intake grate may have caused her to be held underwater for several minutes, according to police.

For sure, but will the state recognize that the people are desperately in need of more surf parks?
