I like that, they should actually do that anyway. But that doesn’t solve the downtown park dilemma.
Mind you, that parkland is not actually in downtown. It may have made more sense for the City to have bought the Y property eons ago when it was for sale, to then turn that land into a park, opposite Pioneer Park, now across the street from the children’s park.
It's solving the north park *****ing about not having enough park. By having the new park in NP, at any cost.
Making the Y property a park doesn't shut the NPers up.
