For many years when the BC Forest Products mill was still in production,the harbour at West Bay was a booming ground.

There was all sorts of crud on the bottom left from those days.

When the dude had the sand all cleaned and raked, and the tide was out, that was a pretty decent beach. It faces south. But I'm not sure anyone ever went in swimming.

 

I wasn't swimming although I did fall in once, I slipped on bird poop while traversing a log out to the little island. Great memory.
