I'm not sure we have ever talked about this.

I lived part-time in Vancouver once, and our building had a pretty sweet outdoor pool, used it lots.

I was just looking at an aerial of Songhees, due to that thread, and I see Shutters has a nice pool.

So I'm thinking, what other building have pools/hot tubs around town?

I remember many many years ago a youngster died in the pool at a big apartment on Shelbourne St.

I saw this picture in a pool supply store. (Yes I was picking up some drugs for the pool in our last house)

I couldn't get over the sight of so many swimming pools in this Canadian city.

I was a BC Commercial Pool operator and looked after that pool for a couple of years.  Sparkling and crystal clear, a real oasis in that part of town.  Great way to spend an evening.  Not very big, but still a great space.  Health inspector was pretty happy with it too!

I'll make a guess: Kelowna?

^ ^ ^ ^  It's like when you fly into a southern US city, it's like whoa, so many pools.  Before Google Maps/Earth.

Goodacre Towers apartments on Douglas Street directly across from BHP has a large pool. An adjacent hot tub as well. I lived there for about 5 years.

 Edmonchuk?

Another reason to move the sewage plant to Rock Bay - use the reclaimed heat to power a swimming pool/rec centre to replace Crystal Pool.

Say, what's that mountain goat doing up here in the mist?

How does that work...do you mix the sludge with the pool water to extract the heat?

The towers on Michigan Street have an outdoor pool between them.

Oak Bay Beach Hotel.

That bar on Douglas at Discovery.

The seven-storey residential building on Veterans at Hoffman (Boston Pizza) has a pool on the roof.

North Langford Rec Centre atop Bear Mountain.

Christie Point in View Royal.

Know it all.

There were homes that filled in their pools in the sixties after there was a requirement to fence them off to keep kids and pets from falling in.

350/360 Douglas has a pretty nice pool.  I used to live there, but I swear I only used it a couple times.

The Executive House (now DoubleTree Hilton) once had an outdoor pool on the Douglas Street side.

It was filled in to expand the restaurant, which was Hy's Steakhouse at the time.
