The middle car deck that goes up-and-down is condemned/or has been removed.

They are called platform decks and they are not used because they take too long to load. There's no hope in hell of maintaining the schedule if they use those.

As long as it doesn't fall while I'm trying to sleep.

Coastals also have everything for platform decks built in. Unlike the Spirits they could maintain schedule using them so if traffic keeps up at the 2017 pace it'll be interesting to see if they ever install them. Contrary to the previous page where BC Ferries was criticized for the size of the Coastal, the reality is they were built after a decade of decreasing traffic, and 8 of their first ten years traffic was steady or declined still... so it was a good decision. They're one figurative leap away from needing a way larger crew.

The problem with bigger ships is Transport Canada requires that they have more crew and they burn more fuel. That doesn't really make sense in the 8 months of the year when it's not that busy.

They will be more economical to run after the two Spirit ships are converted in Europe to use LNG...or did I mention that already.

Well if they are so full all the time this would be a good time to raise rates and keep raising them until you just fill up.

Time of day pricing would go a long way. Not every ferry is full, obviously.

So with the three new Polish ferries, do any of them come into Swartz Bay?

One is on Powell River run, right?  One is on Mainland to S. Gulf Islands.  Where is the 3rd?

The third is at Deas Dock right now. I believe it’s just intended to supplement the Tsawwassen-Southern Gulf Islands route.

Got it.

Deas Dock, cry every night for you
Deas Dock, long to hold you again
The hurtings on me, yeah
I will never be free, no, my baby, no no
You gave a promise to me, yeah
And you broke it, and you broke it, oh no
Deas Dock watched you bring my world to an end
This heart could not accept and pretend
The hurtings on me, yeah
I will never be free, no, no, no
You took the vow with me, yeah
And you spoke it, and you spoke it, babe
Deas Dock, are crying
Deas Dock have seen a lot of loves
But they're never gonna see another one like I had with you
Deas Dock, are crying
Deas Dock have seen a lot of loves
But they're never gonna see another one like I had with you
Deas Dock, are crying
Deas Dock have seen a lot of loves

So I love how BC Ferries went on the news a couple of days ago and said that they are basically going to do nothing to enforce the new rules about staying in your car on the lower deck rule.*

*I would of posted this days ago if VV had an effective search function. But alas, I had to wait for someone to post to this thread to share the news. 🤗

BCF is hiring 18 casuals for their call centre. $23 something an hour.

Everyone I know. I need one, if for no other reason than the fact that VV mobile blows.

Those are pretty good pay rates. $23/hour, x 7.5 hours x 5 = $862.50 per week, or $3450 per month, $41.4k per year. That's about $2,400 take-home per month.

Darned good job for that position.
