My goodness.

 

Just looked up PDG and the first developments I see mentioned and recognize are Duncan Mall, Tyee Plaza and Tsawwassen Commons.

They are all League projects.

 

We should start a poll on the status of this project in 5 years.

 

1. Fully built out and developed

2. Empty hole in ground

3. No hole but taxpayer funded overpass to nowhere

4. As is.

New signage has been installed at the proposed location of Jesken Centre. It's still chugging along.

Tsawassen commons construction is moving along. Saw steel building frames in place 2 weeks ago and it looks like they are done raising most of the area.

I see the temporary fencing around this 'project' has been removed. I wonder if it's a no-go? Nothing has happened to the space since the clearing was started last year. Can't seem to find any other info about it.

I wouldn't say it's dead, but part of me thinks the highway access requirements were/are problematic.

So I heard through the grapevine a Costco is coming to Keating Cross area in the next two years. I'm not sure if that's a revival of this project or something else.

The rezoning for this was shot down in the late 1990s. Wonder if it will succeed this time.

Lots of rumours about Costco on the peninsula these days... the staff at Langford Costco told me they are actively seeking a site. A friend also told me their dental hygenist said that Costco was going to take over the Sidney Slegg Lumber location (right across from Sandown). Not exactly the most reliable source...
