Indeed, the crane is down! Ty for pics.

Just received an email today about the next Vivid Homeowner's Info (Zoom) session: it will be on Feb 9th at 6 pm.

Homeowner orientations (suite walk-throughs) are also slated to begin in Feb, according to the email. They had originally been slated to begin in late Dec.

Chard is running them. Mr Chard and a few staff ran the last one. Assuming this will be the same.

Once work concludes, Chard Development plans to unveil a 62-stall parkade to downtown workers and business owners.

Wonder if there will be some sort of security at the entrance, given the building is directly across the street.

In the zoom meeting with buyers a couple weeks ago they said:

Inspection tours begin in March. Closing is supposed to begin in April.

In our first zoom meeting last October they were originally planning on starting the inspection tours in December and closing in March...

The first 2 floors of the podium could have used some sort of differentiation from the brick cladding directly above.

The renderings and the finished product sure were off for both these towers.

well the vantage point is about 15 meters off, I'm using a wide angle lens, the lighting is coming from the opposite direction, they haven't planted the trees or finished street level construction, there are no businesses operating, it's the wrong season, etc.

Otherwise it's pretty close. The light brick is totally off from the renderings.

The lighter grey brick in the rendering of the podium reads much more like brown on the finished building. Perhaps it's just the lighting, but the recessed balconies appear to have a bright/white interior in the rendering and are very dark in the photo.

The colours and materials aren't even close. Renderings show a charcoal and light grey podium, and the results are dark brown and sand. I actually prefer the podium colours to what was shown in the renderings though. The tower portion is even further off, and is really what I don't like about the building. Why do the materials suddenly switch at floor 14? Did they start reading the plans backwards or something? The tower doesn't look great in either the rendering or on the actual building, but I would have preferred they keep the same cladding all the way up. The result looks sort of like a mistake to me.

The brickwork is fine, but is a bit boring compared to 1400 Quadra across the street.
