An expanded state-of-the-art veterinary hospital with 24-hour emergency services is coming to Saanich’s Uptown area, Citified has learned.

The two-storey, approximately 4,000 square foot structure will be built and operated by the Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital on land occupied by the hospital’s existing single floor facility at 760-764 Roderick Street (behind the Island Home Centre retail complex). [Full article]

I had to take our old Dobie there last Saturday night for emergency treatment. Those people are saints being open 24x7. That building is so old but serves such a great function. I hope they are able to build everything without hassle as its sorely needed

A development permit was discussed at Saanich council meeting way back in 2012

......see pages 9-10

From March 2017:

Site plan: http://www.saanich.c...rickmar2917.pdf

I agree an improved/larger 24-hr facility (and with improved diagnostic equipment that your 'average' vet clinic can't afford) is needed in a city this size, so hope it's moving ahead.

Right, it's been a long time coming. The current proposal is under the direction of a different architectural firm than the one from 2012.
