What kind of idiot would pay to watch Roger Federer play a match against a ping pong champion? The equivalent of what this fight was.

I hope using hyperbole because that is definitely not the case. More like the world F1 champion racing the world NASCAR champion

A lot of people are forgetting the guy is world champion light weight mma fighter former world champion featherweight. That obviously takes incredible athleticism and it showed in the fight. Very few professional athletes can debut in a new sport and do as well as he did. The dude is not a boxer and he arguably won 4 rounds out of 10 against maybe the best boxer of all time.

The fight grossed $2.6m just at 500 movie theatres. At $40 per head.

It might have had 6.5 million home buys. We find out tomorrow.

That's $650,000,000.

Though the official numbers are not yet in and will possibly not arrive until next week some time, there is a suggestion that last Saturday’s monstrously hyped “Money Fight” between Floyd Mayweather Junior and Conor McGregor pulled in a staggering 6.5 million pay-per-view buys.

This is what UFC boss Dana White said when speaking with Urijah Faber and Snoop Dog – as reported by MMA Fighting. These numbers, if accurate, are quite incredible; even if they are the claimed worldwide total buys and not the US total. Worldwide, the current American record holder for pay-per-view buys in boxing, Manny Pacquiao Vs. Mayweather, pulled in around 5.5 million buys, while in the US “The Fight of The Century” from May of 2015 brought in 4.6 million buys.

Connor McGregor went nutso yesterday and attacked a bus full of UFC fighters at a sporting event in Brooklyn. He threw barriers and other objects at the bus, injuring several fighters.

Following the attack he and his posse fled and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He's since turn himself in to police.

Know it all.

McGregor last fought at all in a boxing match he lost to Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Aug. 26, 2017.

The popular Irishman is tight with UFC 223 fighter Artem Lobov, who was involved this week in a scuffle in a hotel with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Nurmagomedov fights Max Holloway for the lightweight championship left vacant by McGregor.

Lobov was yanked from the card and banned from the building.

Michael Chiesa was sent to the hospital with injuries sustained in the attack and was forced out of his scheduled fight against Anthony Pettis.

“A decision was made by the New York State Athletic Commission to pull me from UFC 223,” Chiesa tweeted. “I’m devastated to say the least.

@showtimepettis I hope to run this match up ASAP. June 9th in your backyard. That’s all I have to say for now. Much love.”

Flyweight Ray Borg suffered multiple cornea abrasions in the wake of the McGregor attack and his fight against Brandon Moreno was also scratched.
