What are they waiting for? The rule is you can camp in a park from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and then you have to clear out. What makes this obsessed housing 'champion' different?
It's very hard to know. There must have been any number of police cars going by there yesterday. Presumably they all know the rules.

I wonder what would happen if some concerned citizen group engaged an attorney, and went after the city for failing to enforce bylaws...

Well, they left. I'm here now and no change from yesterday.
Perhaps Chrissy & Co. told the police they were setting up a "medicinal marijuana" dispensary. That's guaranteed to get law enforcement off your back in the CoV.

What a joke. The City deserves another tent city if they don't do anything about it now

I imagine the mayor & council are scared ****less of Ms. Brett for entirely non-homeless related reasons, especially in this "year of reconciliation".
In a related topic, how's that longhouse (or whatever it is) coming along atop the lookout in BHP? Couldn't Chrissy set up shop there?

It's the neighbours who suffer from tent cities though, and they did nothing to deserve that. ☹️

The boulevards adjacent to Pandora Avenue & Vancouver Street (and not just Harris Green proper) are increasingly becoming mini-tent cities. These are NOT parks and the city needs to have to have the campers in these areas removed.

Did the police stop and speak to any of the individuals at the camp or did they just stroll past?

I have heard, from various sources, that the police have asked her/them to move on. She refuses.

Difficult spot for the police. Dollars to doughnuts she has CHEK on speed dial to make a big media splash in the event of a forced eviction..
