Ever notice that the homeless use crosswalks differently than others?
Ever notice most homeless/addicts usually don't bother using crosswalks and put everyone in danger by running out into the street in the middle of traffic? Again just smacks of that attitude of selfish entitlement and everyone has to cater to THEM...

I'm thinking if someone swerved in the lane to avoid one of these mental midgets and hitting someone else...and that lady wasnt in danger all she had to do was drive away???

Ah yes, everyone wants in the on the poverty action. SOILD wants to run the site:
Illicit drug users and advocates will hold a rally at the Ministry of Health building on Blanshard Street at 2 p.m. today to call for promised harm reduction services in the city and drug decriminalization.
They want a planned supervised consumption site on Bridge Street to open immediately and funding to make it a harm-reduction community health centre, said Jack Phillips, who is a street outreach worker and harm-reduction trainer for the Society of Illicit Drug Users.
“Bridge Street is the biggest blank slate of a site. It should be run akin to a community centre by harm-reduction organizations,” said Phillips.
But the Bridge Street location is on hold “to enable more discussion around the broader services needed in the community,” said Island Health spokeswoman Kellie Hudson.

Now, I wonder... any chance the Bridge St. location is actually on hold because CUPE 50 quietly opposes it, since it's adjacent to their workplace?

She was stopped at a red light and the man jumped on her car and started smashing her windshield, and was threatening to kill her. He was high on something and he was completely out of control. The police did arrive and he was arrested. I thought I saw photos posted on the VV FB page at the time of the incident.

The Jamaican Consulate is in that building. I met the Consul; cool guy! I think every neighbourhood should have a Jamaican Consulate.

Ive always wanted to know the story on this. Why does Victoria even have a Jamaican Consulate? So many other cities in Canada actually have more than single digit numbers of Jamaican immigrants and ties with the Caribbean and don't have any sort of consulate, but then right here across the street from me is a little townhouse containing a consular office.

A consulate Can Be opened anywhere. There is a Turks and Caicos consulate in Uplands at 3195 Humber Rd one of the most expensive properties on Vancouver Island at $15 000 000
the red License plate is for an Honorary Consul the guy is a local Dr. One doesnt not need to be from the country to be an HC you can be Canadian and just be a good friend of the Consular
