Pretty common around town.  This was on the weekend.  On the next block north I saw a female VicPD officer conducting the routine wake-ups, so I stopped and directed her to this one too.  Now, innocent until proven guilty and all, but what are the chances this guys owns all of the propane tank, the bike (frame) and the shopping cart?

I'm keeping your neighbourhood safe, NParker.  Today I'll do what others won't, so that tomorrow, I can do what others can't.

He's probably been put on Lisa's "haters of Victoria" list.

Yesterday about noon I walked by Reeson park. The huge piles of "belongings", all the carts, tents and the regulars were gone. It looked almost like a park that tourists and regular folks would enjoy.

Don't worry, I am sure they'll be back.

Remained clear over the weekend. Have they all gone home ?

Perhaps their vacations ended and they had to get back to work.  <_<

I think the work there is about to start. They might have been renovicted out of Reeson park.

You may be right...

This September construction of a new waterfront pathway in Reeson Park will begin...

The CoV needs to add at least one piece of children's playground equipment to this area (and every city park) and perhaps that will make it off-limits for overnight camping. I can dream can't I?

CRA building on Johnson will have all it's landscaping redone starting in September to make it less camper/ sleeper friendly. Woman had a guy take a piss right in front of her yesterday then waved "it" at her making eye contact and smiling in a very creepy way.

I've noticed greater numbers of "desperate" folks hanging around this location lately. I hesitate to think what will be found when the old landscaping is removed. Just another sign of how the rest of us have to adapt to Lisa & Co's version of utopia. Bring it on indeed.  :whyme:

It already has what must be the most intricate/expensive exit from a basement door onto Pandora to keep sleepers out.

Well it used to be a Mexican Restaurant. Now it's a multi-purpose room for larger meeting and gatherings. I am sure when the building was built it was not foreseen what it is used for now.

Security has to open the grounds/ building up now because of "issues".

Ya. The Pandora basement exit has an intricate glass and steel canopy. That looks like it probably cost $50,000 to install.

That is the benefit of unlimited funds to spend.

I believe SD already noted that the Pandora "entrance" to the CRA building used to be a restaurant.

No it's the entirely opposite side from the restaurant. Johnson vs. Pandora.

I'm confused. Why then did you say this?

There's an entrance at the Pandora side that has already received the anti-loitering treatment. And it appears as though it cost a pretty penny.

Know it all.

I think this is a puzzlement that can only be resolved with some fancy VHF photography. It would also serve as before photos for the upcoming landscaping renewal.
