Victoria's Living Edge society will be giving away free groceries today to Victorians faced with food security concerns.

The event, planned between the hours of 5PM and 6:30PM at Saanich's Gateway Baptist Church (situated at the nexus of Royal Oak Avenue and Royal Oak Drive near Broadmead Village), hopes to connect individuals in need, the region's homeless and marginalized persons with fresh, healthy food options.

Living Edge holds a weekly food bank service on Thursdays at 901 Kings Road in Victoria's Quadra-Hillside neighbourhood, and a weekly dinner every Sunday at CDI College at 950 Kings Road.
