Typically we see a floor a week, but here we've seen a floor a month.

For a small footprint this project has been taking forever. I wouldn't be surprised if Hudson Walk II is actually ready for occupancy before this.

Is there a shortage of construction workers in Victoria?

In some regards, but I'm not sure if that's the case at this site.

I bet those workers think they have some privacy at the Big John on the top floor.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this project is moving quicker than Legato?

No underground parking, smaller footprint, better soil conditions...sure Legato has been slow coming, but it's still not really a fair comparison to make.

It really should have been. I guess the $$$ just weren't available for that. It's not like additional housing is not needed or that increased density at this site would have been an issue.

They removed the crane on Friday. Looks like it still has a long way to go though.

Except it's taking them so long to build it if it was twice as tall it would be 2020 for completion.

Plus they would need to switch out the toy crane.

Retail space:

https://www.realtor....Columbia-V8T4J3

The Azzuro is the gateway to the downtown core. Commercial and residential developments such as Hudson Walk 2, The Wade, 1515 douglas, Oak Bay Lodge will create a busy new neighborhood in this area . There are 1200 residential rental units in victoria, needing amenities to serve the tenants in these new buildings. Very little inventory of Class A commercial space is left on the market, this is a great opportunity for operators to get in and serve this growing community, as well as the hundreds of BCIMC employees new to downtown.

You'd think you'd want your listing agent to at least spell the name of the place properly, even if you forgive all the other errors here.

I'd hardly consider the Azzurro as adjacent to "The Wade". Also, presumably, by "Oak Bay Lodge", the blurb above means the new "Summit at Quadra Village". And why HW-2 but not HW-1? Why not simply say the "Hudson District". All-in-all that's a poorly written ad.

MLS ads are generally written with the care and attention seen in high school book reports started at 11 pm Sunday before they are due Monday morning.

Yeah, that's pretty bad. I'd be less than impressed if that were the description for my listing.
