rents start at $22/sf + triple net ($10.75)

Those rents are reasonable for a brand new building, but there is not a lot of demand for retail or office space right now

If that is true then they have dropped the prices quite a bit. $10.75 is also very low for a new building.

Good luck to them, Andrew Sheret is a quality company and I hope that they can fill the building.

This is a great looking building.  It's modern and makes an impact.  I would love to see something like this in Uvic.

Wow, this building is looking really good. Reality is turning out to be a pleasant surprise over those drab renderings.

A needless delay on this project for a public hearing over parking spaces...
http://www.timescolo...9562/story.html

I'd rather the public had a say in the aesthetics, 'cuz I get the feeling this is going to be one cheap-ass, bow-wow of a building.

Right, There were plenty of comments a few years ago, but I liked this one the best.

Sorry Nparker

LOL! No offense taken. Whereas the aesthetics of this building are not hideous, it still looks truncated to me. I understand that the "massive" 8-storey tower originally envisioned would have been even harder to lease and of course require additional parking.

Plumbing giant Andrew Sheret finds Hillside office a perfect fit

As for Andrew Sheret’s old location, the company has put it on the market. The old administration building has already been leased, but the 19,000-square-foot warehouse, which includes what was the Splashes showroom, remains vacant.

“Our intention over the long-term is to redevelop that site,” Findlay said.

70% of the 3rd floor of this building has just been placed under lease contract.  That makes the building roughly 65% leased overall.

^As I understand the 2nd, 5th and 6th floors are still vacant and some of the other floors are partial empty.  Where do you get 65% leased out of curiosity?

There is a large basement area which Andrew Sheret uses as a warehouse. That accounts for a large portion of the leased space.
